How to stay healthy in this sick world

Forget about swine flue, everybody is talking about some sort of flues and how to protect yourself from them. The fact is - there is no fast track protection from these. In order to stay healthy, in this fast moving, full of fast foods and pollution in the world, you need to keep your body constantly full of vitamins and minerals, as well as free yourself from stress of every day life.

5 A DAY

First of all, your body needs a balanced diet that will provide it with all the ingredients needed.
Five a day simply means that every person should eat five portions of fruits and veggies every day! One portion equals a handful of something or lets say circa 100g. It does not matter what kind of fruits or veggies are they, although e.g. potatoes are not counted, as they do not contain a lot of vitamins.
Note: it does not matter if they are frozen, cooked, or stirred.
Now, there is a hidden benefit of 5 a day rule... you have less space in your stomach for a fast foods, which can keep you from obesity!

SPORT

Our bodies really need sport to be healthy. Why? Thanks to sport you can, not only keep your body in shape and look good, but also release the stress that is a cause of almost 90% of all health problems! It does not matter what kind of sport it is as long as you are exercising at least twice a week or 30 minutes a day.
P.S. Even if you work physically in your job, you should do some sport, because of the stress release factor.

SLEEP

OK, this one seem to be the easiest, right? Wrong!
Research tell us that almost 85% of adult people in the world have got a problems with chronic lack of sleep. I am not talking here about insomnia! I am talking about a proper level of sleep time. Nowadays, people go to sleep later then in the past centuries, mainly because of technology. TV, Internet, game consoles... they all keep us awake for longer then they should.
Did you know that, in order to survive an adult human should sleep at least 6 hours per 24 hours period? Well, it may be the case for many of us, however you need to remember that we not only want to "survive", we want to be healthy! So, for our bodies full viruses, illnesses and other resistance we need to sleep from 7-9 hours every day! Now, when I say every day, I mean EVERY DAY. If you think you can sleep 6 or less hours for the whole week and then stay in bed for the whole weekend to "do your sleep homework", then you should know, that it does not work this way!

How to earn some extra cash part 2

For those interested in making some additional money in " real life" instead of "virtual reality" I have got some ideas to.

If you like animals you can always earn some extra money by simple dog walking.
The idea is simple: Find someone who owns a dog, preferably in your neighbourhood, then ask him or her if they were interested in letting you walk their dog for money. It could make you anything between 10 -15GBP in London) or around 10$ (in New York) for 30-40 minutes walk. The best place to walk a dog for money seem to be L.A. where you could easily get from 15-25$ for walking other people's dogs.

Another popular way of earning cash is being a private driver.
This can only work if you own a car. How to earn on it?
First you will need to make some research about private taxi companies in your town. Find out how much do they charge for e.g. a lift to the nearest airport. Then you need to advertise your service on a local newspaper, a shop display, or simply on the Intenet websites like http://www.gumtree.com/. Remember to offer your service for a bit less then your competitors!
I believe, giving lifts to airports is the most convenient way of using your car as a tool to make money, however I never tried this method of earning money.

What I did try in the past is home tutoring.
I must say, this way of earning extra cash made me enough money for going on holiday!
First, you need to find out what you could teach, and if there are people interested in paying for learning it from you. You can e.g. do a tutoring for languages, guitar lessons or painting.
It is difficult to say how much you can get per one hour of tutoring. It really depends on the subject you want to teach, location and most importantly, how good you are in it.

How to earn some extra cash part1

In this Recession that we have in the whole world now, many find it hard to keep spendings on a lower level then earnings. It is mainly because firms, in order to survive the credit crunch, rise the prices of their products, as well as lower the salaries. As a result, we are getting less and less wealthy so we buy less and less products. This behaviour creates some sort of cause and effect circle which leads to the world depression.

There are some ways to beat the lack of money in your pocket, though.
One of my favourites is http://www.slicethepie.com/ where you can write songs reviews for money. You can earn anything between 2p to 10p (UK pence) for a very short review. This can make you some pocket money but you cannot expect to earn your living.

Another way of earning some extra cash can be (note CAN but doesn't have to be) adding DONATE button to your blog. Like one on http://www.howto-consultant.blogspot.com/ :) Writing this entry, I did not gain any money yet, however I hope in a long term it will prove to work.
What you need to do to get this button on your blog is to simply go to your pay pal account and in section merchant services click on donation. Just fill up the required fields and create your button. You will get a HTML code that you can copy and paste to your blog! That's it!

There are many other websites that can generate some income, however I did not check them so I will not tell you anything about them here.
